He or she needs to help the attorneys understand, before deposition and trial, the technical concepts involved in the crash to help the legal team make informed decisions. And, the effective expert also needs to present their investigation and conclusions to the jury in a logical manner so that the jury can render an informed verdict.

Mr. Marceau is a teacher. He is an instructor to traffic engineering professionals, law enforcement officers, and attorneys across North America. He began testifying in criminal court as a police officer more than 20 years ago. Today he testifies in civil and criminal cases in many jurisdictions. Mr. Marceau has been qualified as an expert witness in numerous courts in civil engineering, traffic engineering, accident investigation, accident reconstruction, traffic signals, traffic signal design, human factors, and many sub-areas of these major disciplines.
